Only 30 minutes from the beaches of Ensenada and its famous fish tacos, Valle de Guadalupe is the wine region of Baja California. In addition to its wineries, Valle de Guadalupe is the center of Baja Med cuisine, which showcases the fresh seafood and produce of Baja California.

I want to focus mostly on my lodging at Encuentro because it's a pretty cool and unique setup. The rooms are all stand-alone units spaced out along the hillside. There aren't TVs in the room, you'll instead spend your time taking in the amazing views. Each room has its own firepit, perfect for keeping warm while watching the sunset with a glass of wine from the hotel's winery.
A little over an hour south of the border, Valle de Guadalupe is a perfect weekend getaway from Southern California.
